Environmental site work is underway by Ashton Manor at this new community under construction in Rockville, Md. The urban bioretention design calls for 4’ of stone, a sand layer, and 4’ of bio-soil. The five facilities within the site will ultimately be filled with 650 tons of stone, 200 tons of sand, and 1100 yds of biosoil. The challenge of very limited accessibility to the largest facilities utilized an all-terrain conveyor vehicle and slinger trucks for stone and sand. A blower truck moved all of the soil and mulch into place.
