With this week’s fundamental being “Think safe. Work safe.”, we would like to thank our Team for always putting safety first and continually working to improve their safety skills. Here at AME we are committed to safety and do all that we can to keep everyone safe, as there is no room for error when it comes to safety. On Wednesday’s we hold our weekly Safety meeting, where a variety of topics are discussed and demonstrated: 1) how to avoid accidents and near misses; 2) what to do should an accident occur; 3) learn how to properly and safely use new tools and machinery; 4) AME Culture of Safety-Awareness; 5) OSHA safety policies; and 6) when/where/how to use personal protection equipment, etc.
Tips to prevent hazardous situations and accidents:
• Always wear personal protective equipment
• Keep jobsite clean
• Insect tools and equipment before use
• Ensure equipment safeguards are in place and functional
• Use safe-lifting techniques
• Call for utility locates
• Always stay alert and aware of your surroundings
