AME’s first fundamental is “Think Safe, Work Safe.”
Since we can’t predict when a fire might break out, we have to make sure our employees are ready to battle the fire if an emergency occurs. That is why in our safety meeting last week, we covered the combustion process, explained the 4 different classifications of fire, and the proper use and techniques used to fight fires. However, explanations are not always enough, so AME gave the employees a chance to participate using the Pull, Aim, Squeeze and Sweep method to put out a live fire.
We want to make sure that everyone has the knowledge and confidence to keep themselves, and those around them, SAFE if a fire were ever to occur. That is the AME way!
